Peter Bromley.

I currently live in coastal North Northumberland in the north east of England. Originally from Lancashire, I have studied in England, Ireland and Scotland, my training being in Environmental Sciences and Environmental Management. After university, I went on to work full-time in conservation of the natural and historic environments in both England and Scotland. Inspired by great nature writers, poets and novelists alike, I initially started to write non-fiction, and moved to writing fiction several years ago. My first work was in short-story form, for which I was fortunate enough to win a number of prizes, including a New Writing North Bursary and the Biscuit International Prize for short-fiction twice. In the hiatus created by COVID, like many, I embarked on my first novel. Of Human Folly ,a work set against the climate crisis, is the result. It was published by international writers’ co-operative, Silver Quill. My second book with SQ is a collection of short fiction - Skylight. My next novel, to be published in summer 2025, is entitled The Strayaway Child and deals with another issue-of-our-times, migration.

Literally and metaphorically, the journey continues.
